Reference books that fit in a pocket and work with the signal off.
Oblastlab builds small Android apps for looking things up. Everything ships inside the download — no account to make, no server to reach, nothing to load before the first screen appears. The first release is Kraivid, a guide to the regions of Ukraine.

Three habits that decide what goes into an Oblastlab app and what stays out of it.
Everything ships in the box
All 25 entries, their crests and every quiz question are compiled into the APK. Opening Kraivid on a train with no bars gives you exactly the same app as opening it on wi-fi, because there is nothing to fetch.
Looking up beats scrolling
A reference app lives or dies on how fast it answers a question. Search filters as you type, favourites sit one tap away, and any entry opens straight into a full card rather than a summary that hides the detail.
Learning is the reward
Browsing turns into knowledge only if something tests it. The quiz games score you, keep a streak, and get harder as you get better, so the catalogue stops being a list you skim and becomes something you actually remember.
Kraivid
A complete offline guide to the regions of Ukraine: 24 oblasts plus the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, with crests, capitals, facts and quiz games.
Browse every region, open one for its full card, search instantly and bookmark whatever you keep coming back to. Then let the quiz turn it into something you know by heart. Below is that loop, running for real — the catalogue with live search and favourites, and a scored round of the administrative-centre quiz.
Nothing bookmarked yet. Open a region and star it.
Ready when you are.
Eight questions. A wrong answer resets the streak, not the score.
The shields in this demo are coloured placeholders. The app itself ships the real coat of arms for every region.
The company
Oblastlab is the app name used by FERT TOV, registered in Ukraine.
